Pull-in Instability Analysis of Nanoelectromechanical Rectangular Plates Including the Intermolecular,Hydrostatic, and Thermal Actuations Using an Analytical Solution Methodology

The current paper presents a thorough study on the pull-in instability of nanoelectromechanical rectangular plates under intermolecular, hydrostatic, and thermal actuations. Based on the Kirchhoff theory along with Eringen's nonlocal elasticity theory, a nonclassical model is developed. Using the Galerkin method(GM), the governing equation which is a nonlinear partial differential equation(NLPDE) of the fourth order is converted to a nonlinear ordinary differential equation(NLODE) in the time domain. Then, the reduced NLODE is solved analytically by means of the homotopy analysis method. At the end, the effects of model parameters as well as the nonlocal parameter on the deflection, nonlinear frequency, and dynamic pull-in voltage are explored.     

An asymptotic Reissner–Mindlin plate model

A mathematical study via variational convergence of a periodic distribution of classical linearly elastic thin plates softly abutted together shows that it is not necessary to use a different continuum model nor to make constitutive symmetry hypothesis as starting points to deduce the Reissner–Mindlin plate model.     

柱面微通道板的制备及其性能研究

针对未来空间天文学应用的超分辨率光谱成像仪器的需求，对低噪声柱面微通道板（MCP）的制备方法及其性能进行了研究. 提出了一种将光学抛光与热成型相结合的新的柱面MCP制备方法，利用不含放射性元素的低噪声MCP玻璃，制备出曲率半径为400mm、尺寸为30mm′46mm、长径比为80:1、通道直径12.5mm、通道间距15mm的柱面MCP，并将其与感应电荷楔条形阳极（WSA）组成光子计数探测器，对其暗计数率、分辨率进行了检测，暗计数率约为0.1counts/cm2×s.     

Structural response of stiffened plates in similitude under a turbulent boundary layer excitation

In structural dynamics, similitude laws usually deal with simple configurations as thin flat plates with point forces. Only recently, few papers have analyzed stiffened shells or stochastic pressure loads.This research activity extends the applicability of some similitude laws, developed for thin flat plates under a turbulent boundary layer load, to ribbed plates forced by the same wall pressure fluctuations.The work addresses the problem of designing a scaled experimental test-article and, successively, of re-modulating the measured data in order to get the structural response of an original (unscaled) configuration.Due to the complexity of the structural domain, the design of a scaled configuration leads to a distorted similitude. Then, a simple approach, to circumvent the distortion effects, is proposed.     

Pitch-Based Laminated Carbon Formed by Pressure Driving at Low Temperature as High-Capacity Anodes for Lithium Energy Storage Systems

Pitch has been used to prepare electrodes by high-temperature heat treatments for supercapacitors, lithium-ion batteries, on account of its rich aromatic ring structure. Here, the toluene-soluble component of pitch is used to prepare a kind of laminated carbon. This was realized by a template-free synthesis at low temperature with the addition of pressure. The toluene-soluble component has a small molecular weight, which makes the thermal deformation ability stronger and then enhances the orientation of the carbon layer with the help of pressure. The prepared anode exhibits a splendid electrochemical performance compared with the traditional graphite anode. A high stable capacity of approximately 550 mAh g⁻¹ at 50 mA g⁻¹, which is much higher than graphite (372 mAh g⁻¹), is obtained. Also, when the current density is up to 2 A g⁻¹, the capacity is about 150 mAh g⁻¹. Surprisingly, it also delivers a superior cycling performance. And when used as the anode/cathode electrode for lithium-ion capacitors, a high energy density can be obtained. The present work offers an opportunity to utilize the pitch source in lithium energy storage with promising cycle life, high energy/power density, and low cost.     

变刚度层叠梁的力学性能研究

为满足不同场景下的功能需求，变刚度结构得到越来越广泛的应用．以机器人手臂为例，在执行操作时，需要其手臂的结构刚度足够大，避免出现过大的扭曲和变形，而在与人交互时，又需要其结构足够柔软，以保证在此过程中与人交互的安全性．该类变刚度结构可根据需求通过外部激励在柔性和刚性状态之间自由切换．在该文章中，研究分析了层叠梁结构，通过理论推导和数值模拟，对其力学性能做出了很好的预测，同时为此类结构的研究提供了有效可靠的思路和方法．     

Effect of magnesium and titanium on the cathodic behaviour of aluminium in nitric acid

Cathodic polarization of aluminium and Al–0.18 wt.% Mg and Al–0.08 wt.% Ti alloys in 0.24 mol dm^?3 nitric acid solution at 38 °C has been employed to assist understanding of the roles of alloying elements in electrograining. The findings indicate that additions of magnesium and titanium to aluminium accelerate the corrosion of the substrate under the alkalization caused by the cathodic reactions. The accelerated dissolution and the consequent formation of hydrated alumina result in a decreased net cathodic current density in potentiostatic and potentiodynamic polarization conditions relative to the behaviour of aluminium.
